The beauty of Friends is that it had six iconic characters at its disposal for every episode. But when a seventh character entered Central Perk - say, a character like Janice - the show got a chance to break out of its mold and do something truly unique. While there's nothing like the classic episodes of Friends that gave us our favorite storylines featuring Joey and Chandler, Ross and Rachel, or Phoebe and... anyone, really, it takes a great character like Janice to make us realize that every group of friends needs an occasional cameo from a weirdo that Chandler used to date.
Though there's a lot of iconic episodes in a series with 236 episodes, it's arguable that the most memorable episodes are the ones that featured a guest star or a favorite recurring character. For many fans of Friends, that favorite recurring character is the nasally, high-pitched queen of OH-MY-GAWDDDD; Janice. While episodes featuring her may not have had the heartbreak of Ross and Rachel episodes or the sweetness of Monica and Chandler episodes, every Janice episode is downright hilarious.

Rachel drags Chandler with her to the nail studio, where they bump into Janice, who has divorced her husband. Her feelings for Chandler rush back in, but Chandler can't stand her. In order to get away from Janice, Chandler lies and says that he is about to head to the airport to leave for a job opportunity in Yemen. He goes as far as actually buying a ticket and boarding the plane in order to escape Janice.

Chandler: Janice. There you are. I had to have one last kiss. And also, you said you were going to leave after I got on the plane. Janice: No. I want to see you take off. Chandler: Well, then I guess I'm going to Yemen. I'm going to Yemen. [to an elderly woman in line] When we get to Yemen, can I stay with you?
Monica: How have you been? Janice: Well, I'm divorced. Phoebe: Oh, wow. Janice: Yeah, I'm riding the alimony pony. [laughs]
Joey cannot stand that Chandler is dating Janice again. He tries to talk to the group about how to get rid of her, but they seem to have accepted her into the group. Janice decides that she and Joey just need to spend more time together. After some bonding, Joey is not convinced, but now he can at least tolerate Janice.

Joey: Does it have to be a whole day? Janice: Yes, because that's how long it takes to love me. Joey: Yeah, I know. I sleep in the next room.
Chandler and Phoebe plan to dump their dates on the same night at Central Perk, but Janice doesn't take it well. She starts crying and Chandler accidentally hits her in the eye. Phoebe smooths over the situation and breaks up with Janice for Chandler.

Chandler proposes a no-date-New-Year's-party, but is the first to break the pact when he invites Janice rather than spend New Year's alone. Janice wants more, but Chandler informs that this is a New Year's only situation.

Ross goes out with Janice, who still thinks Chandler is in Yemen. Ross claims to be amazed at how well she listens to him, but all his whining is too much even for her. After Ross and Janice call it quits, she makes a play for Joey.

Joey has a date for the night before Valentine's Day, but she insists that they double date with her friend, so Joey pulls Chandler along. Chandler, who has no idea who he'll be hooking up with, meets Janice. After spending the night together, Chandler breaks up with Janice on Valentine's Day.
