    The Suspicions of Mr Whicher is a 2011 television film made by Hat Trick Productions for ITV. It stars Paddy Considine in the title role of Jack Whicher. It is based on the real-life Constance Kent murder case of 1860 as interpreted by Kate Summerscale in her book The Suspicions of Mr Whicher or The Murder at Road Hill House. A follow-up followed, a fictional imagining of Whicher's subsequent career as a private enquiry agent: The Suspicions of Mr Whicher: The Murder In Angel Lane was filmed in early 2013 and was broadcast on 12 May 2013. A further follow-up consisted of two further episodes - The Suspicions of Mr Whicher: Beyond the Pale and The Suspicions of Mr Whicher: The Ties that Bind. The first was broadcast on 7 September 2014 and the second on 14 September 2014. Considine later announced on Twitter that the show would not be continuing.
