    Christian McCaffrey

Throughout his first 3 years in the NFL, Christian McCaffrey was undoubtedly a top 3 running back in all of football. In 2019, McCaffrey was named to the All-Pro First Team, the Pro-Bowl, and even came in third in Offensive Player of the Year voting. McCaffrey looked poised to cement himself as one of the best players in all of football, but in the next two years, he would go on to only play 10 games after a litany of ankle, shoulder, glute, and hamstring sprains and strains would sideline the rising star. With a new quarterback set to help take the load off McCaffrey and a full year to finally get healthy, McCaffrey will be on a mission to prove that he is finally back, and back for good.

    Saquon Barkley

Saquon Barkley has had one of the most frustrating and devastating careers of any player in years. Showing the potential to not only be a top running back but a top player in the entire league, Barkley's career thus far has been riddled with injuries and setbacks. Having yet to play a full season since his rookie year, Barkley appears to be in the best shape of his life, and the 25-year-old is in the midst of his prime. The only thing keeping Barkley from being a lock for this award is his devastating injury history.

Derrick Henry was coming off of a career year in 2020 where he had an incredible 2,027 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns. It was undoubtedly a breakout season for the 26-year-old, and all eyes were on him going into the 2021 season. Sadly, on October 31, Henry suffered a broken bone in his foot in a win over the Colts and would go on to miss the next 9 games. Fully healed, Henry is undoubtedly the favorite for Comeback Player of the Year, and many expect to not only see him match his 2020 production, but surpass it.

Thomas has shown blistering speed, masterful footwork, and a determination to be the best, and after 18 months of missing the game he loves, all eyes should be on him to reclaim his thrown as one of the best players in all of football.

Defensive end Chase Young suffered an ACL tear in his sophomore season after having what seemed to be a wonderful follow-up to a stellar rookie season. At just 23 years of age, Young has already made a Pro Bowl and won the Defensive Rookie of the Year Award. After a devastating sophomore outing, Young will look to bounce back and prove that he is still one of the best defensive players in all of football.

Up-and-coming quarterback Daniel Jones looked poised for a breakout season in 2021 when tragedy struck. Already totally an impressive 2,428 yards in week 11, Jones would then suffer a season-ending neck injury during the Giant's week 12 win against the Eagles. The devastating and life-threatening injury has nearly kept Jones sidelined for a year, but now he is on the verge of returning to the field. While it is undoubtedly a horrifying injury, Jones has continued to show guts and heart while he is on the field, a trait he will undoubtedly continue to show in the 2022 season.
